Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation (ICBI) is a center of entrepreneurship for academic researchers, offers unique facilities for technology development and commercialization, support formation of startup companies, provide funding sources, mentoring and training, workforce development.

The agenda for the event includes remarks by Dr. Jay Hess, Dean of Indiana University School of Medicine; Mr. Dennis Murphy, President of IU Health; and Dr. Anantha Shekhar, Executive Associate Dean and Director of Indiana CTSI. Dr. Jaipal Singh will provide an ICBI progress update.

On March 3rd 2017, team of neuroscientists along with Dr. Bruce Lamb, Executive Director, Stark Neurosciences Research Institute came to visit ICBI to learn about the facilities, mentorship, and funding program within ICBI.  Drs. Mervin Yoder, Jaipal Singh, and Jonathan Merrell provided insight on translational research and entrepreneurship.  

Open house for Postdoc and students at ICBI

On December 9th 2016, ICBI organized an open house for Post doc’s and graduate students. To encourage participation of next generation of scientists in translational research and entrepreneurship.  At the open house, the postdocs and students introduced to ICBI and its activities, training opportunities, startup companies, advisory council members and alternate career opportunities.

Inaugural ceremony of the Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation (ICBI) on March 15th at the Methodist hospital Noyes Pavillion. The newly developed center provides a platform for academic entrepreneurs to translate their discoveries into commercial products for health care and ultimately, improved patient care.
