University scientists are trained to excel in basic science and breakthrough discoveries. However, translation and commercialization of discoveries require a different set of skills for entrepreneurship, product development, business, finance, communication etc. ICBI is engaged in training of faculty, post-docs and students in technology development and commercialization. ICBI and resident companies provide employment and internship opportunity to the student and postdocs to enhance their entrepreneurial skills to succeed in the commercial landscape. The SPARK-Indy program in partnership with SPARK-Stanford provides access to education material in drug development and entrepreneurship. ICBI hold seminars, workshops, meetings with expert advisors and community events focused on technology development and commercialization.
