Bringing Discoveries to Commercialization
ICBI at IU School of Medicine

Established in 2016, the Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation (ICBI) supports life science technology development and commercialization in Indiana. ICBI is uniquely designed to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem for the translation of innovations into life-saving products by providing fully equipped biology and chemistry laboratories, access to small and large animal facilities, clinical expertise, collaborative space, offices, conference facilities and a variety of research and development services. ICBI has assembled a special Advisory Council of life sciences leaders and entrepreneurs to provide guidance, mentorship and networks to entrepreneurial faculty, post-docs, students and startup companies. ICBI facilitates access to funding for translational research and technology development from academic labs. The ICBI is made possible through support from IU Health, Indiana University School of Medicine and the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute

Our mission is to create an ecosystem for entrepreneurship, and technology development and commercialization at the campus of Indiana University School of Medicine.
